Hi Gustavo,
The latest version of the Compact Development Kit-500 now is compatible with Windows 7 64bit.
Please use the following link to download it: http://www.proteq.com.br/download/setup80047.rar

Dear guys,
I'm not a developer. I'm a Compact 500 end user's application. It works perfectly on Windows XP but not in Windows 7 64-bit.
Dear olivier_safenet,
I need to reprogram the key to work on Windows 7 64-bit?

Hi,
As a enduser you cannot reprogram the Key.
But I believe that by installing our "CompactDrivers64bit.exe" (CompactDrivers 6.0.1 Windows 64bit Setup) it will allow your key to be used on Windows 7 64bit.
Please install the Compact Development Kit-500 as a "Demo kit".
Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Safenet\Compact-500\8.0.0.4.7\Dll e Drivers\ in order to find the above installer.
Regards,
Olivier

Hi,
Error7 means: Parameter lost in communication / Proteq.VXD not installed / Dongle not connected
Do you have a USB or a Parallel Compact-500 dongle ?

Hi,
I have a USB and a Parallel Compact-500 ones.
The hardlock USB in Windows 7 64-bit worked perfectly but the Parallel (LPT) don't.

Gustavo

Hi Gustavo,
I missed your reply, ok there is actually an issue with the Parallel Compact-500 ones.
but a workaround exist.
Below are the full steps to use the Parallel Compact-500 on Windows 7 64bit :
1-install the version 8.0.0.4.7;
2-Install compactdrivers64.exe;
3-restart the computer;
4-download "assinado.zip" from http://www.proteq.com.br/download/assinado.zip
5-unzip "assinado.zip" and paste manually "proteq.sys" in the folders: C:\Windows\System32\drivers and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers
To test, open the Command Prompt and write: “net start proteq”. You then should see “The Proteq service was started successfully”.
Then connect your Parallel Compact-500 and check if it can be found.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Olivier
